• 5.0 LAND DISTURBANCE AND RECLAMATION
5.1 Summary of 1998 Disturbance
In 1998, no additional drill pads or other disturbance of land was performed. Table 5-1
lists disturbed acreage at year end. Through 1998, a total of 66.4 acres have been
disturbed for the mine site and well field.
Figure 5-1 (map) shows disturbed areas, vegetation (trees, brush) and mine site facilities.
Future production well and field expansion through 1999 may include horizontal and
• vertical wells for extension of cavity #2, or horizontal/vertical wells to utilize other existing
wells, i.e. cavity #4 on the north or south ends.
5.2 Regulatory Compliance
5.2.1 Regulatory Activity
The Annual Report for 1997 and fee were submitted to Division of Minerals and Geology
(DMG) prior to anniversary date of January 31, 1998. One Technical Revision (TR) was
submitted and approved in 1998. The TR was to revise the monitoring plan to change the
