The on-site sand and gravel processing
plant would produce gravel at an average rate of 600,000 tons of aggregate products/ year
until the deposit is exhausted approximately 30 years in the future.
2.2.3 PLANT OPERATIONS
Because of the silt and clay content of the gravel, the processing plant would utilize multi-
stage water scrubbing circuits combined with multi-stage crushing and screening circuits
producing clean, sized products. The plant would occupy a 22 acre site in the north central
portion of the property. Processing would be similar to that described above for the
Bluestone operation.
2.2.4 MINE PHASING
Mining leas been divided into 5 phases, depicting the advance of mining. Pertinent data on
these phases is as follows:
Phase Acreaee Tonnage (in glace) No. of Years to Mine

1 190.1 12,522,234 20.9
2 106.2 3,634,559 6.1
3 16.1 521,864 0.9
4 14.6 407,832 0.7
5 22.2 1,362,516 2_3
Totals 349.2 18,449,005 30.9
Note: Table assumes 1.5 ton per bank cubic yard of in-place gravel and plant capacity of
600,000 tons of pit run feed per year.
For additional information, the reader is referred to SHB Agra (1994a, b).
Western Eauystems, Inc.
