Additional Conditions - Effective at All Times for :~11 Cutfalls <br />There shall be no discharge of floating solids or visible foam in other <br />than trace amounts. The discharge shall not con[:iin any sanitary <br />wastew.sters from toilets or related facilities, ox other pollutants not <br />associated with active mining operations. The Division :;hall be <br />notified if there is any land application of wastewater, other thaa fur <br />dust control. <br />8. Burden of Proof Requirements (A11 Outfalls) <br />The perm it tee shall have the burden of proof when requesting relief <br />from total suspended solids (TS S), total iron and/or. settleable solids <br />limitatic+ns. <br />For rainfall, to waive 155 and total iron limitations, it is necessary <br />to prove [haC discharge occurred within 48 hours after measurable <br />precipitation has stopped. In addition, to waive settleable solids <br />limitations, it is necessary to prove that discharge occurred within 48 <br />hours after precipitation greater than the 10-year, 24-hour event has <br />stopped. <br />For snowmelt, to waive 1S5 and total iron limitations, it is necessary <br />to prove that discharge occurred within 48 hours after pond inflow has <br />stopped. In addition, to waive settleable solids limitations, it is <br />necessary to prove that discharge occurred within 48 hours after pond <br />inflow volume greater than the 10-year, 24-hour event h:as stopped. <br />The Division shall determine the adequacy of proof. <br />9. Post-Mining Areas <br />The permittee shall notify the Division upon cessation of active mining <br />and completed reclamation of areas contributlag to discharge point 001 <br />so that appropriate permit modifications can be made. <br />B.
