FOOTNOTES - APPLICABLE TO PRECEDING PAGES <br />a/ - The thirty (30) day average shall be determined by the arithmetic: <br /> mean of all samples collected during a thirty (30) consecutive-d:ry <br /> period. Such increased <br /> frequency shall also be indicated. <br />e/ - Definitions of Sample Type <br />:L. A "composite" sample, for monitoring requirements, is a minimum <br />of four (4) grab samples collected at equally spaced two (2) <br />hour intervals and proportioned according to 1:low. <br />'L. A "grab" sample, for monitoring requirements, is a single "dip <br />and take" sample. <br />:!. An "instantaneous" measurement, for monitorinf; requirements, is <br />a single reading, observation, or measurement performed on site. <br />4. A "continuous" measurement, for flow monitoring requirements, is <br />a measurement obtained from an automatic recording device which <br />continually measures flow. <br />`i. ?, "visual" observation, for oil and grease monitoring <br />requirements, is observing the discharge to check for the <br />presence of a visible sheen or floating oil. <br />fi.
