C-

INTERNATIONAL URANILIM (LISA) CORPORATION
2003 ANNUAL REPORT
Topaz Mine M -1980-055-HR
The Topaz Mine remains on "standby-ready status".
In August the Operator submitted a Technical Revision Request for the Topaz Mine
Permit. The Technical Revision Request addressed minor clarifications in the Permit boundary
and also proposed minor revisions to the final reclamation plan. The Technical Revision was
approved on September 4, 2003. An updated site map was submitted with the Technical
Revision Request; this site map remains current.
A site Inspection was conducted by the Division of Minerals and Geology on October 8,
2003. No Corrective Action items were noted. The Inspector noted a small infestation of
knapweed along the access road and requested that the Operator spray this infestation as soon as
possible. The Operator agreed to spray the weeds, but seasonal high winds precluded spraying
for a number of days, and then a killing frost arrived, which eliminated the opportunity for
spraying in the Fall 2003 season. The Operator has committed to spray emergent vegetation in
Spring 2004. The Inspector also noted erosion along the access road and requested the Operator
perform grading to avoid off-site sedimentation. The Operator has agreed to conduct the
appropriate grading.
On November 20, the Operator sent notice to the Division of Minerals and Geology that
the Corrective Action stipulating placement and mazking of Permit boundary comers was
completed.
At the end of December 2003, the Operator submitted a proposed Final Reclamation
Map, based on the eazlier approved Technical Revision to the Permit.
The Topaz site is stable and secure. During the reporting period, no new disturbance
activities were conducted which increased the existing Affected Area at the Topaz Mine.
The Topaz Mine will remain on standby status during 2004.
