SLOPE STABILITY <br />INTERIM INSPECTION REPORT <br />AREA Wadce Hiahwall drainage fill DATE 09/28/95 <br />TIME 9:00 a.m. by Michael Altavilla WEATHER Cloudy and slight rain SOaF <br />1. Debris, organic matter coal, etc., present in fill None visible. <br />2. General gradation and characteristics of material Reclamation in procress. East side of <br />pit has been regraded. Hiahwall (west side) has been regraded over the last six weeks <br />and looks good. Some topsoil has been replaced at the very northern end of the fill <br />area. <br />3. Presence of water, surface and ground None visible. <br />4. Condition of underdrain (approx. current width, depth, and length), material gradation <br />and characteristic, compaction, presence of water N/A <br />5. General material movement <br />6. Proximity and treatment of seep points Spoil spring 1000 ft downaradient flowing at a <br />rate of approximately 15 20 pom (visual estimate). <br />7. Condition of slope fill surface (grading, cracks or sloughing, erosion, revegetation) <br />Conditions of recently graded surface is good. Good vegetation cover around check dams. <br />8. Recommendation Continued observation of the fill area as final finish grade work is <br />completed. Differential settlement and erosion should be monitored and repaired as <br />necessary. This area should be completely retopsoiled and seeded during the reclamation <br />9.
