Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit is
June 23. This pit HASi80T been granted a Temporary Cessation and it
HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The Financial Warranty
for this operation is $75,000, the permitted area is 125.88 ac. ± and
the pit is divided into 7 Reclamation Phases. A sign that conforms
with rule 6.7 Signs and Markers is at the entrance to the quarry on the
scale house. Please refer to the Annual Report Map for the location
of areas discussed in this report. This is a quarry operation, as a
result we remove large amounts of material without disturbing large
areas of land.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
requirements as outlined in Rule 1. 15 of the Rules and Regulations,
and the annual notice letter.
( 1) Mining continued on the area previously stripped in Phase I.
Total disturbance to date in Stage I is 29.97 acres ±. The
floor area increased by 0. 17 acres ± as the face of the mine
moved into the stripped area. The current face area covers
approximately 7 .27 acres ± . The floor of the mine is on three
levels; the first is the level near the scale; the second is
approximately 80 feet higher and the third is near the face and
I another 30 feet above the second. The scale house level is
the final level of the mine floor. The other two benches will
be lowered as mining progresses into the property. The upper
benches were left to accommodate the processing equipment so the
mine would work more efficiently.
(2) No reclamation was required this year. Minor amounts of
\ backfill continue to be placed in the valley on the eastern side
of Phase I as approved. There is a topsoil stockpile on each
