De rick:
According to the Orcflard Valley Mine permit, the East Ridge and West Ridge
waste pile diversions are designed for a 10 year event. We are aware that
these two piles constitute an interim phase of waste pile construction and
that the 49 year pile, which is the combination of these two piles, is the
final permanent structure. The 49 year pile is designed fora 100 year event.
However, the design for the East Ridge and West Ridge diversions need to be
updated (both in the permit and on-the-groundl to a 100 year design as stated
on the cover letter.
Please note the dates of compliance also stated on the cover letter.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me or Jeff
Clapton at the Division.
Sincerely,
~y GLc
Tim King
Physical Scientist
TK11 j t
2527E
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
