The report indicates that the processed material produced by the
plant as refuse possesses equal or better engineering properties than assumed in the original design of
the waste pile. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this information.
Also, as I indicated to you in our telephone conversation yesterday, please be advised that the processed
materials generated by the preparation plant to date (approximately 26,000 tons), which have been
temporarily stored on the low quality coal stockpile adjacent to the plant, will not be relocated to the refuse
disposal pile by June 30 as originally specified in MR 119. Unanticipated construction complications at the
waste pile have delayed completion of the underdrain construction required prior to the placement of
waste materials in the pile. TCC anticipates this work will be completed to allow for the placement of
waste commencing no later than July 6. TCC will work diligently to complete the relocation of the
temporarily stockpiled material as soon as possible. The preparation plant will produce approximately 500
tons of processed material per day in the interim and this material will continue to be temporarily
stockpiled on the low quality coal pile.
Thank you for your cooperation in these matters. Please contact me at (303) 870-2730 if you have any
questions or require additional information.
TWENTYMILE COAL COMPANY

Karl C.
