Locatioe and Number of Acres Disturbed io 1999: <br />No new disturbance. <br />C). Location and Number of Acres Backfilled and Graded in 1999: <br />RECEIVED <br />MAR 0~ 2000 <br />Division of Minerals 8 Geology <br />Approximately 4.3 acres were backfilled and/or graded during 1999. These areas included [he <br />access road to and the bleeder fan and shaft site. Portions of the access road were constructed by <br />cutting into the side hill and casting the material [o the side for fill. This material was palled <br />back upslope and placed against the cut-slope returning the area to approximate original contour. <br />The fan site was also cut into the side of a hill and material cast down slope and rnmpaaed to <br />form part of the facilities area. This cut material was pulled back and sloped against the cut <br />slope returning the area to approximate original contour. The concrete cap on the shaft was <br />allowed to remain exposed. <br />The Apache Canyon site was graded and lopsoiled in 1996. Activities at his site in 1999 <br />included reseeding and mulching the remaining cut-slope. The steeper portions of this area was <br />then secured with excelsior matting to minimize inhibit moisture loss until vegetation is <br />established <br />D). Location and Number of Acres Tapsoiled in 1999: <br />The rocky terrain at the bleeder fan site resulted in the recovery of only a snudl amount of topsoil. <br />This topsoil material was spread on the lower portion of the site access road at a depth of 3b". <br />No additional topsoil was placed at [he Apache Canyon shaft site. <br />E). Location, Species, and Acres of Vegetation Planted in 1999: <br />Bleeder Fan Site Rangeland Seed Mix 1.2 Acres <br />Apache Canyon Shaft #2 Rangeland Seed Mix 0.9 Acres <br />
