Please note that the enclosed figures for
reclamation costs and the proposed amount of the reclamation
bond are reduced from that reflected in the original amendment
application. This is a consequence of the fact that, when
first preparing the amendment bonding costs, Nottingham Sand
and Gravel did not have the benefit of the detailed engineer-
ing analysis that has now been provided by A C Z, Inc. Ac-
cordingly, Nottingham Sand and Gravel submits that the en-
closed costs reflect a more accurate and realistic determin-
ation regarding the actual reclamation cost for the Eagle Pit.
We believe that this is amply demonstrated by the accompanying
analysis .
Please contact me if we should have any further dis-
cussions concerning the amendment application prior to the
June 27 Board hearing.
Also enclosed for your reference is a site-specific
soils report, indicating topsoil depths, that was recently
prepared for us by the Soils Conservation Service . As we have
previously indicated, all available topsoil will be salvaged
and stockpiled .
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Very truly yours

Michae S.
