11 (cont) on the 0.81 ac area colored brown. Mining will continue in
the area along the mine face. The material placed along
County Road 335 last remains unchanged (blue). Once complete
this berm will be revegetated and will remain when mining
ends. We expect to begin shaping the mine face this year.
Topsoil/growth medium is stored on the site for use when
reclamation begins.
BOND REVIEW:
The bond is currently set at $17,300 for disturbance on the entire
area. This bond was evaluated in 1997 by the Division to determine
the bond amount during the transfer of the permit to Flag Resources,
Inc. The evaluation was based on a total disturbance of 8.5 acres
±, including grading and shaping most of the highwall and there
being no reclamation completed, At this time some of the highwall
is being sloped and topsoiling is complete on 1.04 acres and the
floor of the mine is graded and cleaned. Our evaluation shows that
the bond is adequate to reclaim the site at this time.
