This permit is currently undergoing an amendment, which when approved, will allow
mining to continue to the east of Area 1 and the current permit area.
Per the requirements of this permit, attached are groundwater-monitoring results for the 4
monitoring wells located on the permit area that we are still monitoring. We have
received no complaints from adjacent well owners for declines in their water levels or
pumping capabilities that can be attributed to our mining operation. Monitoring well #3
on the southeast perimeter and monitoring well #6 on the east perimeter of the permit
area has shown little change in two years of monitoring. The only well that has shown a
significant decline is #2, which is directly adjacent to our dewatering trench. There are
no private alluvial wells nearby in this area that could be impacted by the dewatering.
Sufficiency of Value of Financial Warranty
The permittee holds a Financial Warranty for Che permit through Travelers Casualty and
Surety Company of America. On July 25, 2003, the CDMG approved a replacement
Financial Warranty for this operation, due to the approval of amendment AM-2, in the
full amount of $678,169.00, a figure sufficient to achieve all reclamation requirements
under the current permit.
A check in the amount of $688.00 is being submitted with this report to cover the Annual
Fee required to maintain this permit in good standing.
