Please refer to the attached Annual Report Map. Mining in Area 1
continued to the northeast and utilized overburden in the reclamation backfill for "pit-
side" river stabilization per UD&FCD requirements. Approximately 1.5 acres were
backfilled in this area. Mining was completed on the lower bench (Area 2) and this area
was concurrently backfilled. Mining continued into the new amendment area to the
northeast. No seeding of revegetation was implemented on this permit site, as the
overburden stockpile is in vazious stages of disturbance with the addition and subtraction
of material. Completion of backfilling to grade on the lower bench and backfill along the
pit-side of the high-water mazk of the South Platte River in Area 1 is the only reclamation
activity that occurred on this permit during the reporting year.
Mining during the next reporting year will continue in Area 3 to the northeast to the
approved limits of mining. Reclamation during the next reporting year will be
implemented as revegetation on the lower bench (Area 2) and will be completed in this
area.
