I ~ 5.0 SURFACE-WATER QUALITY
Samples were collected from active sites 001, 002, 011, 020, 021, 023 and S-1 during 2005.
Analytical results for these surface water samples are presented in Table C-1 (page C-25). The more
frequently measured pazameters are presented with the first series of values with the less frequent
measured parameters being in two separate groups after the first group of parameters in Table C-I.
NPDES sites 005, 008, 009, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 017, 018, 019 and 024 had no discharge during
2005 and, therefore, no data aze presented.
5.1 TSS
Figures G5, C-7, C-9, C-11 and C-13 present plots of total suspended solids (TSS) versus
time for the sites 001, 002, 011, 020, 021 and S-1, respectively. A plot was not developed for
. NPDES site 023 because only one data point was collected from this site in 2005. The 2005 TSS
values were small and similar to the low range of previously observed values from sites NPDES 001
and NPDES 002. Figure C-9 shows four small TS5 values for site 011 in 2005. Small TSS
concentrations for site 020 and 021 were measured in 2005. Only one TSS value was measwed
from the limited flow from NPDES site 023 in 2005. A plot was not developed for the one data
point for NPDES site 023. S-1 TSS value was very small in 2005. Plots of flow versus TSS for the
same sites are presented in Figures C-6, C-8, C-10, C-12 and C-14. As expected, a generalincrease
in TSS for an increase in flow is seen in these plots for the historical data from these sites with the
2005 data plotting in the lower portion of the historical range.
• Trapper Mining Company
2005 Annual Report
