. slightly below neutral but similar to previous years. The field pH in well GF-6 (QR) was also above
neutral in 2005.
Well GP-2 (KLM) water was neaz neutral in 2005. The field pH values for wells GP-3 and
GP-4 were each above neutral from the HI and KLM aquifers, respectively.
Welts GP-5 and GP-6 are completed in the QR aquifer. The field pH values from well GP-5
are generally above 8, while the pH from well GP-6 is generally neaz 7
The 2005 field pH values for HI aquifer well GP-7 were neaz neutral, while well GP-8
(KLM) water had field pH values near 8.0 in 2005. The 3rd White Sandstone aquifer well GP-9
field pH values are typically near neutral.
The alluvial (P-1} and 3rd White Sandstone (P-8) wells in Pyeatt Gulch all contain water
with field pH that is generally neaz neutral. The field pH values for we1181-03A are generally above
. 8 units. The field pH values for the GLUX-1 well were slightly less than 8 in 2005. The field pH
values for well GMP-1 were above neutral in 2005. The 2005 monitoring did not detect any
indication of development of acidic water in the Trapper Mine ground water.
3.4 NH3 AND N03
Concentrations of ammonia and nitrate are presented in Appendix B, starting on page B-191.
In general, concentrations of ammonia vary significantly from yeaz to yeaz. Wells GD-2, GE-1, GF-
4, GF-5, GF-6, GF-7, 81-03A, GLLJX-1, GP-3, GP-5, GP-9, P-1 and P-8 all contained NH3
concentrations that are greater than 1.0 mg/1 in 2005 Several of these wells are located away from
mining and contain natural levels of NH3 concentrations. All of the NH3 concentrations observed in
2005 aze within the natural range of this constituent at Trapper Mine.
• Trapper Mining Company
2005 Annual Report
