Walther
Eaeculive Director
Michael B. Long
Division Director
We have reviewed the above referenced Annual Hydrology Reports, and they have been forwarded to
Denver for PHC compliance review. A few problems were noted with the information submitted. First, no
values were provided for SAR for surface water lab analyses, 3~ quarter 2000. Second, EC values were not
provided for 3'" quarter 2000 ground water field data Please explain why the information was not
obtained, and provide the information if available (SAR calculation can be made from the analytical data
reported). Finally, the fad That new mine inflows were encountered within the Main East Entries was
documented and monthly inflow observed was reported However, no water quality information for the
inflow, as required by the groundwater monitoring plan of the approved permit was provided. Please
sample the inflow as required by the permit, and submit the results for pH, Electrical Conductance, and
Temperature, for inclusion in the Annual Report, as soon as possible.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely
Dan ews
EnvironnLental Prot ~on Specialist
ce: Denver File
R u~ r~ ~~7.'~i"t Q I r ~L' ~/'tr.
