Lincoln County has been using approximately ten (10) of the permitted 35 acres. Most of
the 25 acres had been reclaimed by CDOT, original permittee. Lincoln County had made efforts
to bring the disturbed area to less than 10 acres, so a 1 ]0 permit could be applied for. The
landowner wanted Lincoln County to do additional reclamation (topsoil replacement) prior to
applying for the 1 10 Permit. The landowner request may delay indefinitely any conversion of the
permitted area. Topsoil replacement and seeding were done on approximately 2 acres during
March of 2000. Mining of the area has nearly exhausted all available material resources and the
county is considering commencement of reclamation practices in the near future.
