It is anticipated that an additional 25 to 30 percent of the
permit area will be affected in the upcoming year. We ceased operation for the
winter in early December, 1998, and began active operation for the 1999
season in April.
Although no topsoil existed within the permit boundary (because of the
presence of placer dredge tailing) we have been able to back-haul and
stockpile some soils for eventual reclamation. Although not committed to in the
permit application and approved plan, we are stiff leaning toward reclaiming to
wetland for banking purposes and that takes a lot of planning and cooperation
with the various agencies.
Please call with any questions.
Yours Very Truly,
Larry F.
