A
' favorability map drawn in January 5, 1995, and revised in July 1995 for this report to contain less
detail regazding ore resourcE;s, shows the groundwater level at approximately the 500 foot level
' of the mine (Figure 2).
' 2.9 Surface Water
' The West Sunday and Sunday Mines aze located in an arid region with net evaporation, and are
approximately six miles from the neazest perennial streamflow. As discussed in Section 3.0,
' occasional stormwater is not a concern for the following reasons:
' The waste rock azea<; aze stabilized and protected to control erosion, ninon, and runoff.
' The waste rock is not acid-generating, and the low radium content of the rock is not
highly mobile and is less than that occurring naturally on the outcrop in the surrounding
' azea.
' 2.9.1 Storm Water Manaee:ment
' Incompliance with 31-32-116(q) of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, EFN has carried
' out reclamation activities with reasonable diligence concurrent with mining operations to
x wsFxsv.¢rnww.axvtrrtxs •nws~xsux art
Pegs 8
1
1
