Concerns: 2 main categories
A. The current PHC contains no predictions or determinations
of TDS levels. Determinations must be made based on the
past observations and present trends. These
determinations need to be incorporated into the PHC and
AHR.
B. The mine is experiencing elevated TDS levels in mine
inflow and discharging elevated TDS waters into the White
River. This issue needs to be outlined and explained in
the PHC with a followup in the AHR until the problem is
corrected or the cause determined to be other than a
mining issue.
II. Recommended Actions
A. THAT THE MINE GIVE FIRST PRIORITY TO LOCATING THE SOURCE
AND REASON FOR EXTREME SALINITY LEVELS IN THE MINE
INFLOW.
1. Recommend that the operator conduct a mine inflow
study. This could be accomplished by an EC pocket
survey. Locations of samples need to be mapped.
