Sample adequacy was achieved for total vegetation cover sampling in the areas <br />1 • sampled. Vegetation cover was tested at the 90 percent confidence level. Fifteen cover <br />samples were taken in the Osgood Sand Reference Area. Fifteen cover samples were <br />taken in each of the 1985, 1986, and 1987 reclaimed areas. <br />SPECIES IDENTIFICATION ANA VERIFICATION <br />Species identification was accomplished in the field through the use of plant <br />identification keys (Weber, 1990; Whitson, 1987; Stubbendieck, et a1, 1981). In cases <br />where plant identification was inconclusive in the field, voucher specimens were <br />pressed for lab identification. Final species identification was undertaken by Dr. <br />William Weber, Curator Emeritus of the University of Colorado, Boulder Herbarium. <br /> <br /> <br />-4 <br />
