ANNUAL REPORT
Operator:
Location:
File Number:
Anniversary Date:
United Companies of Mesa County
Berry Pit
M-1977-132
January 16, 2005
The Berry Pit was active this past report year. No crushing took place but our portable
asphalt plant did move in near the end of August and produced approx. 30,000 tons of
HBP (Hot Bituminous Asphalt). We used our existing stockpiles and imported a small
quantity of material from another source in Meeker to produce the mix.
The enclosed sketch shows the approx. location of existing stockpiles. This year our
weed management program will include this location. The pit does not have much of a
weed problem and we want to keep it that way. I believe this is partly due to the high and
dry location and the few horses and cows that either trample or snack on what little does
grow. '
Sincerely,
Brent W. Kerr
Resource Manager
January 14, 2005
