DMG Permit No. M-88-112 July Monthly Sampling `- -` "- Dear Mr. Dillie: All required sampling was completed during the month of July. The NANO/RO water treatment plant intermittently during fhe month. A total of 9,603,700 gallons of water was treated and discharged into Rito Seco during the month of July. Tlie stormwater system from the West Pit backfill was completed. All surface water stations were inspected and RS-4 and RS-6 were found to be dry. vocuum on the lysimeters was verified and no water was present to sample. When we checked the piezomeiers on the main embankment of the tailings impoundment on 7/ 17/00, the piezomeiers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water. the two west pif piezomeiers were measured for depth to water on 7/31 /00, with the following result: BF-1 was 27.35 ft and BF-2 was 30.93 ft. The other piezometers in the West Mine area were also c hecked with the following result: PW-1 was 28.00 fi, PW-2 was 28.18 ft, PW-3 was 35.53 ft and PW-4 u,~cs 30.50 ft. The underdrain was measured at approximately 26 gpm. The collection pond's leak detection system was pumped and sampled on 7/17/00. The leak was approximately 45 gpad. The seeps remain dry. No water wos pumped from the evaporation system collection pond to the tailings impoundment. Tl~e depth to water at BF-4 was at 24.60 feet on 7/31 /00.
