DEPT. OF NATU:2AL RE50~.'.CES <br />Valco's annual report of the above referenced pit states <br />as follows: <br />1. Stage II Ptining was continued in 1982. 9.6 acres were mined beginning <br />at the eastern edge of the 1981 mining area, extending 700 ft. to the east. <br />2. Reclamation in the Stage 0 b I area was accomplished as follows: <br />a. 80% of the entire areas has been sloped, graded and covered with <br />topsoil. <br />b. Approximately 50 cottonwoods have been planted around the Stage I <br />area. This planting was done in September and October, 1982. <br />c. Natural vegetation, volunteer trees and natural habitat have <br />continued to develop in both Stage 0 6 I areas. <br />d. Approximately 25 acres have been reclaimed in 1982. <br />3. '•Ie anticipate completing our reclamation efforts in Stage 0 & I <br />by April I, 1983 except for tree planting. This will be completed by <br />ttTe end of 1983. <br />4. 1983 Mining Year - We expect to mine approximately six acres which <br />will extend 350 feet east of the eastern edge of the 1982 mining area. <br />The effective date for all the information contained herein <br />is March 1, 1983.
