This <br />volume is an increase of approximately 30 gpad from that measured and reported for the <br />April 2002 monitoring period. <br />Since the CMLRB permit terms and conditions requiring suspension of mill operations <br />are no longer applicable, Battle Mountain Resources Inc. will initiate the following <br />investigative measures relating to this increase. These measures shall include: <br />(1) the volume of water will be reduce in the collection pond to allow further <br />inspection of the primary liner surface, <br />(2) the primary liner surface will be inspection for visible signs of holes, <br />separated seams or other imperfections, <br />(3) repairs will be made of any liner defectives determined from inspection <br />activities. and <br />(a) the collection pond storage volume will be maintained at the diminished <br />storage level until all noted liner defectives are repaired. <br />Should you or other Division personnel have any questions concerning this <br />correspondence, please contact either Mr. Julio Madrid (719) 379-0799 or myself (970) <br />325-4482 or (303) 324-2630. <br />Sincerely, <br />Bill y <br />Director of Env.
