However, much of the disturbance is occupied by
screened and sorted materials stockpiles for sale. It is anticipated that
remainder of the permit area will be affected in the upcoming year. As in 1998-
99, we ceased operation for the winter and began active operation for the 2000
season in the spring.
Although no topsoil existed within the permit boundary (because of the
presence of placer dredge tailing) we have been able to back-haul and
stockpile some soils for reclamation and we have initiated some reclamation at
the site.
Although not committed to in the permit application and approved plan,
we are still leaning toward reclaiming to wetland for banking purposes and that
takes a lot of planning and cooperation with the various agencies.
Please call with any questions.
Yours Very Truly,
~~~~.Q~
Larry F.
