In the year 2000, we have
removed 5000 ton of pit run from this gravel pit. Top soil has been stripped off of
the area of the 5000 ton used and stock piled in a stock pile zone. We will not strip
or uncover any of the pit area until we are ready to mine another section, this way
we keep the vegetation growing on all the areas except where we mine. In this year,
2001, we will remove at least 2500 ton to fill washed out areas in and around our
County Road #25.
Sincerely,
~Lc -G y ~ ~''~"+y"7
Stanley Rasmussen, District Supervisor Rio Blanco County West End
17497 Co.
