Values appear accurate and represent the current
reclamation status at the mine. One minor discrepancy was noted with the total disturbed
acreage. The acreage in long-term facilities (23.7) when added to the acreage backfilled and
graded (82.1) must equal the total acres disturbed (105.8). The form lists 105.7 for the total
disturbed. Please correct on future reports and/or bond release applications.
For the record, a summation of the un-reclaimed acreage is as follows.
Facility Acres Permanent acres Temporary acres
Road and parking 14.6 14.6 0
LO rail .7 .7 0
Site ponds and roads 7.1 0 7.1
LO ponds 1.3 0 1.3
Total 23.7 15.3 8.4
Reclaimed acres includes 64.4 at the main site, 14.5 at the loadout, 1.5 at the Corley and North
wells, .2 at the south fan, and 1.5 at the Newlin Creek topsoil pile, totaling 82.1 acres.
If you have any questions, please call me.
K nt Gorham/l'l
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and InaRive Mines Geological Survey
