Rule 2.04.13 requires the submittal of an annual reclamation
report that,~addresses specific topics for discussion. The 1994
ARR does not appear to specifically provide discussion of those
topics. Please provide data that addresses Rules 2.04.13(1)(a)
through 2.04.~13(1)(f).
SECTION 2.0- HYDROLOGIC MONITORING
2. There are references made to well UC-2, on page 2 and in Exhibit.
4 of the 1994 ARR. However, Map 1 in Exhibit 8 shows the well as
being UC-1. Please reconcile this difference.
3. Examination of the surface water data for UHG-1 and LHG-1
suggests that the effect of mining may have been to increase the
sulfate and TDS concentrations substantially. On average, the
sulfate concentration increased from about 233 mg/1 to 818
mg/1 for the years 1987 through 1994. For those same years, the
TDS increased, on average, from 708 mg/1 to 1775 mg/1.
Although the water at UHG-1 already exceeds the suspect level
for domestic drinking water use, due to the high TDS, and is
marginal for sulfate, the apparent effect of mining may have
been to increase the difficulty for a homeowner, who uses an
