2.0 MONITORING METHODS <br />Depth to water below the top of the well casing was measured to the nearest tenth-foot using an electric line <br />water level detector. Water quality was sampled in the field directly from the wells with a hand bailer. The <br />wells were cleared by bailing at least three columns of water prior to collecting the sample. Internal pumps <br />were used on the SF- and NM-series wells through June 1996 when they were removed. During each sampling <br />event, water quality measurements of temperature, conductivity, and pH were made. An expanded list ofwater <br />quality analyses was conducted during the annual samplings which were sent to a commercial analytical <br />laboratory.
