~1 <br />dissolved solids, the spoil springs only show increased sulphate and <br />slightly increased sodium and SAR. Station 114 also shows slightly high <br />dissolved manganese levels and high nitrate levels. The mean level of <br />nitrate is below the stream water standard while manganese level is above <br />the stream standard. The stream standards for these two parameters is based <br />on drinking water standards; however, Foidel Creek is not used for drinking <br />' water therefore no adverse impacts have occurred. Also, Colorado Yampa Coal <br />Company is seeking a removal of the drinking water designation for Foidel <br />' Creek. <br />' Due to the small size of the flows and the low dissolved solids <br />concentration (mean of approximately 940 mg/1) the spoil spring discharges <br />from Mine 2 has no impact on Fish Creek. <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />- 9 - <br /> <br />
