SURFACE WATER MONITORING <br />Four primary locations and one water level only location on Foidel Creek in <br />the vicinity of Mine 1 f,~'monitored. Station 14 is upstream of the effects <br />of all mining activities in the area. USGS Station 09243800 (Station 80b) <br />is a short distance downstream of Station 14 and the unnamed tributary and <br />is downstream of a large area of spoil springs. Station 8/2005 (referred to <br />as Station 8 in this report) is a short distance downstream of mine, and <br />water quality samples are collected at Station 8 and flow readings are taken <br />' at Station 2005. USGS Station 09243900 (Statlon 900) is located upstream of <br />the confluence of Foidel and Middle Creeks. A water level only station <br />(304) is located near Well 008-AV-2. Two primary locations on Fish Creek <br />' are monitored. Station 1001 is located upstream of where Fish Creek enters <br />Twentymile Park. It has been replaced by Station 16 which is located <br />' immediately downstream of where Fish Creek enters the south end of <br />Twentymile Park. Station 26/1002 (referred to as Station 1002 in this <br />' report) is located on Fish Creek about one-half way through its reach in <br />Twentymile Park and downstream of Mine 2. One water level only station <br />~ ' (307) is located near Well 006-AZ-3. One station on Middle Creek is <br />monitored. It is located upstream of Mine 3 and USGS Station 09423700 <br />(Station 700). Two locations on Trout Creek are monitored. Station 69 is <br />' located below the confluence with Middle Creek to which Foidel Creek is <br />tributary. Station 301 is located upstream of the confluence of Middle and <br />Trout Creeks. Monitoring at Station 301 was initiated in 1987. <br />' Flows <br />Due to the size of the stream at all primary locations, they must be rated <br />instead of using a more accurate controlled section such as a flume. The <br />USGS maintains continuous recorders at Station 100,800 and 900. Plots of <br />' the historic flow measurements on Foidel Creek are presented on Figures 21 <br />to 27 and Figure 45. Plots of the historic flow measurement on Middle Creek <br />are presented on Figures 28 and 29. Plots of historic flow measurements on <br />Fish Creek are presented on Figures 30 and 31. Plots of the historic flow <br />' measurements on Trout Creek are presented on Figures 32 and 33. The flow <br />rate data is summarized on Table 28.
