.. ~. <br /> <br /> <br />Cotter Corporation - C-JD-6 Mine <br />Stormwater Management Plan -Permit i/ COR-040024 <br />Revised -October 4, 1993 -Page 2 <br />4. <br />The Thunderbolt Mine Dumo -This is a small dump with limited contamination potential. <br />Vent Hole - The vent holes were assessed and there is no appreciable run off. <br />Access Roads -The main access road, County Road EE18, has borrow ditches on both <br />sides. Precipitation is directed to the existing diversion ditch which flows into an existing <br />catchment basin. Access to the two vent holes is gained by using existing exploration drill <br />roads which aze exempt from Stormwater management requirements. The access road, <br />County Road EE18, to the Thunderbolt Mine has a borrow ditch on the northwest side which <br />diverts Stormwater away from the mine dump. <br />Stormwater Management Controls <br />a. SWMP Administrator <br />The SWMP Administrator for this site is Dave Diss, the Environmental Technician <br />in Cotter Corporation's Western Slope Office. <br />b. Risk Identification and Assessment <br />Site risks include the overburden waste storage and the stockpile oflow-grade ore which <br />presents minimal risk as a result of the existing Best Management Practices (BMPs). <br />There is no equipment maintenance outside and no chemical storage at this site. <br />c. Preventive Maintenance <br />Inspections of the Stormwater controls will be wnducted on a regular basis which is <br />anticipated to be two times per year, or as needed in response to major storm events. <br />Preventative maintenance will be completed on an as needed basis. <br />d.
