These maps show the approximate contours of the mine spoils piles after the <br /> piles were recontoured in 1997. <br /> The "Snyder Mine Plan View" map shows the location of the petroleum contaminated <br /> soils (PCS) area and the PCS treatment area. During 1998 most of the treatment area was <br /> constructed and most of the PCSs were transported to the treatment area. <br /> During 1998 most of the mine spoils piles were covered with approximately b inches of <br /> earthen material to enhance revegetation efforts. Other activities at the site in 1998 <br /> included the cleanup of mine structures. <br /> During 1999 Umetco is scheduled to complete the placement of earthen material on mine <br /> spoils piles and other disturbed areas, complete the cleanup of the PCS area, farm the <br /> PCS treatment area as necessary, and vegetate disturbed areas. <br />
