As indicated, we have been unable to locate a <br />copy of the abandonment report, however it appears that the abandonment was approved under MR-23 on <br />either 7/11 or 7/12 of 1994 and completed shortly thereafter. I have attached a copy of a September 29, <br />1994 DMG inspection report by Janet Binns which indicates that mining through the well went as planned. <br />I have also spoken to Mr. Joe Shoemaker who was a surveyor at the site during this time period. He recalls <br />the necessity of abandoning the site prior to mining through it, and remembered the building over the <br />original well having to be removed.
