During the year 2001, the Bowie No. 1 West Mine continued to be reclaimed. At the end <br />of the 2001 reporting year, Bowie Resources Ltd., had completed approximately 80 <br />percent of the backfilling. Topsoil located on the fill outslopes was moved to a temporary <br />storage location during the backfilling process. The West Mine Ventilation Shaft was <br />filled during this same period. <br />The Bowie East Mine reclamation during 2001, consisted of demolition and removal of <br />permanent structures. The following structures were removed; bathhouse/office, storage <br />tanks, MCC buildings, fire house, belt structures, transfer towers, shop/warehouse, tire <br />shop, loading bin, fire house, belt structure, the majority of the 2,000 ton bin, guard <br />shack, sewage treatment plant, crushing and screening plant, truck loadout, and stacking <br />tube. <br />Seed Mixtures: <br />Several seed mixtures was utilized at the Bowie No. 1 Mine. The following tables <br />summarize the various seed mixtures used historically and currently to stabilize disturbed <br />area. <br />
