10,000 gallon diesel tank nearby is also located near the north end of the
mining area. The truck scale and scale house/office trailer has been moved from the
south edge of the disturbed area to the east side as shown on the map. A new large
crusher is planned for the area immediately north of the sediment pond within the
next 30 days. Topsoil is being stockpiled along the perimeter as outlined in the permit.
The sediment pond has also been installed and all topsoil from the excavation has been
stockpiles along the perimeter of the site. In addition to the 10 acres of active pit area,
an additional 6 acres has been stripped of soil and overburden, making this area ready
for mining.
(2) No reclamation could be done in the past year since mining has recently begun and
production is still limited to less than 100,000 tons per year at the County level. As
soon as this area is completely mined, the area will be reclaimed.
(3) For the upcoming year, crushing of approximately 80,000 to 90,000 tons will take
place using portable crushing equipment. Approximately 2.87acres of new disturbed
area are planned for the upcoming year, which will be stripped of topsoil. The topsoil
will be placed in the perimeter berms. All mining and stockpiling will take place within
the disturbed area shown on the Map.
(4) No reclamation is required until mining is completed.
(5) The current contact for this operation is:
Jason Burkey
B&B Excavating, Inc.
PO Box 1729
Edwards, Colorado 81632
Phone # (970) 926-3311
Tax I.D.
Please note that the check for $688.00 for the annual fee has been sent directly to
DMG by B&B.
Sincerely,
l~eL.v`~'vr-r
~~
Greg Lewicki, P.
