• SURFACE WATER
Four ponds, two springs, and four surface water stations are
monitored in the Roatcap Creek watershed. Summaries and plots of
the data are presented for the four surface water station and two
ponds. Plots of the flow rate and conductivity data are presented
in Figures 28 through 31. A summary of the flow rate data for the
four surface water stations are presented in Tables 52 through 55.
Summaries of the water quality data are presented in Tables 56
through 67. The table for station P-89 is blank because this site
did not flow in 1991. Also, water quality data for Spring SP-31 is
provided in Table 113. water quality for this site was not
obtained in 1990.
• These data show seasonal patterns and trends similar to the ponds
monitored in Stevens Gulch. Of the four ponds monitored in the in
the East Roatcap Creek drainage, the only measurable discharge was
0.01 cfs from pond P-87 measured on May 30, 1991. Pond P-87 is
located along East Roatcap Creek. Although no measurable discharge
was observed at the other ponds, only pond P-88 dried up in late
summer and fall.
Of the two springs, 5-30 produced a trickle on May 23 and June 29
and was dry at other times. Measurable flow was observed at spring
5-31 throughout the year although maximum flows were less than 5
gpm (0.0106) cfs and the minimum flow measured on November 12, 1991
• was about 1.6 gpm (0.0035 cfs).
9
