Western- Mobile, Inc., the lease holders, continued to operate the pit this year. We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations. 2.41 (1) No new land was disturbed this year , mining continued in Stage I lowering the floor of that stage an additional 2 to 3 feet. The wash plant settling pond was relocated into stage I (blue) because the upper level ponds hampered proper recircula- tion of the wash water. The old ones in Stage II are used as stock watering ponds for the ranch. Stage P is still being utilized as an equipment storage area and plant site. Topsoil was temporally stockpiled on Stage IV until it is needed for re-soiling Stage I (gray). Please refer to the 1990 Annual Report Map attached. (2) No reclamation was required this year. Approximately 250 linear feet of sloping was completed in Stage I (green). Six to eight inches of topsoil was spread on the slope in preparation for seeding.
