SE 1/4 Sec. 29 T9S R77W <br />Operator: Sanborn Sand 6 Gravel <br />Mining Description for 1990: Change from placer <br />to sand b, gravel operation. Removal and Stockpiling <br />of topsoil. Sand and gravel is being removed to an <br />average depth of 30' and material is being moved <br />with rubber tired loader to a washing plant and <br />processed into a marketable product. It is sized <br />and stockpiled until sold. Four small settling <br />ponds are used. Entire operation is approximately <br />600' from South Platte River. Fine tailings are <br />being stockpiled and also being placed over old <br />tailings from previous r~i~iing operaticr~s on t,_is <br />property. Approximately 12,000 to 15,000 yards <br />of bank run material was processed this last year. <br />Reclamation in Progress: As acquired fine tailings <br />are being place-~d over old tailings and stockpiled <br />for future reclamation. Topsoil has also been <br />stockpiled for future use in reclamation. Prooosed <br />final use of land is rangeland and wild life <br />habitat.
