Please provide the evidence that led you to this
conclusion. The predicted hydrologic impact on the Trout Creek sandstone aquifer is
"no impact"; however, it does not appear the existing Trout Creek wells are
appropriately monitored to determine impact, if any. If the well is indeed
contaminated, a new well needs to be installed. please submit a minor revision to
install a new Trout Creek well and to change the monitoring requirements for that well
to semi-annual level and field parameters as well as semi-annual full-suite quality
measurements (the same requirements as well 001-83-106).
TCC Response
As previously discussed, TCC verbally requested that the decision on whether to
replace the referenced well be delayed until the data could be reviewed by the
consultant writing up the 1991 AHR to determine if an outside party concurred with
our conclusions. As such, TCC has not submitted the requested minor revision at this
time pending further discussion of the options and the determinations of the
consultant. The referenced assessment concerning possible contamination of the well
is based upon the elevated pH readings obtained. This has been attributed to the
possible degradation of the grout from the cemented portion, which appears to have
