• The down-gradient wells were recompleted in August and water
quality sampler installed in August-September, 1990. Initial
water quality results indicate a mixture of water across all four
aquifers which does not compare to other monitoring sites. This
location, the maxi-pad, had an open hole and wells which may have
comingled aquifers for up to ten years. Also, recompletion effects
may be noted. After a period of time, the aquifer data is
expected to reflect characteristics of aquifers at other
monitoring locations. Field water quality analysis indicated
<1,000 conductivity for Perched and >20,000 conductivity for
Dissolution Surface aquifers during recompletion, and that was how
final sampling depth was selected. Table 2-7 summarizes water
quality data after completion.
Potentiometric Levels
Data illustrated on Figures 2-6 through 2-8 show potentiometric
levels for the set of wells immediately down-gradient of planned
well field at EX-2 well site. Wells up-gradient and down-gradient
(at maxi-pad) have not been in place long enough for extensive
data evaluation. It is interesting to compare lower aquifer
potentiometric levels from north to south across the lease.
Figure 2-9 illustrates data from mid-summer, 1990 which indicates
little if any trend in potentiometric levels from north to south.
Figure 2-10 illustrates potentiometric levels of wells included in
• NaTec's primary monitoring system. Figure 2-10 indicates little
potentiometric d~rence across the lease, but after pumpage, a
46
