March 1990 Meeting held with BLM, USGS and leasee to discuss <br />• planned development activities and monitoring <br />requirements. Leasee informed BLM/USGS <br />representatives that four monitoring wells up <br />gradient (IRI-1 site), immediately down gradient <br />(four wells) at EX-2 site and down gradient (four <br />wells) at maxi-pad were planned. The wells at the <br />EX-2 site would be in place six months prior to <br />mining. It was verbally agreed that this selection <br />of wells would address BLM (and EPA) monitoring <br />requirements. <br />April 1990 Four wells (zones) at EX-2 site were on-line and <br /> and data reported to the BLM, EPA and State <br /> Division of Water Resources. <br />Summer-Fall <br />1990 Up gradient and down gradient wells were completed. <br />October 1990 NaTec submitted Comprehens ive Monitoring Plan <br /> (update) to BLM, EPA and CMLR for commercial <br /> operations. <br />• October 1990 Based on results of NaTec's monitoring, the EPA <br />determined that the Dissolution Surface aquifer is <br />no longer considered to be an underground source of <br />drinking water (USDW) within the pilot project <br />area. <br />• <br />31 <br />
