ADDITIONAL SHEETS
FOR
VOLLMER PIT ANNUAL REPORT
M-83-035
ANNIV. DATE: MAY 12
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTINUE MINING OPERATIONS FORM:
The form submitted with this report is a duplication of the DMG form sent to Schmidt
Construction. Although the original form was confirmed as being sent from DMG it apparently
did not reach Schmidt. A new form was faxed from DMG, but due to the low quality of a fax
it was not used. Instead the duplication was used. A copy of the faxed form is included.
TOTAL ACRES AFFECTED DURING THE REPORT YEAR:
For purposes of this report this acreage is the total acres affected at the end of the
report year. That acreage includes land that was mined, land that was used for processing and
stockpiling, and land undergoing revegetation but not yet released from bond. The difference
between the 59.2 acres reported and the permit acreage is the amount of land within the permit
that has not been affected.
TOTAL ACRES RECLAIMED FOR THE REPORT YEAR:
No acreage was actually reclaimed in this report year. The 15.7 acres reported is the
amount of land that has been placed in revegetation. This amount, because it has not been
released from bond, is included in the affected land total described above.
ACREAGE IN VARIOUS STAGES:
BACKFILLED: This is essentially zero as backfilling is not actually a part of the
reclamation plan.
GRADED: This amount is equal to the amount of land seeded as no additional land has
been graded.
SEEDED: This is the amount of land that is currently undergoing revegetation. No land
was actually seeded in the last year.
TOPSOIL REPLACED: This is equal to the seeded land and the graded land.
AVERAGE TOPSOIL THICKNESS: This is the depth of the topsoil that has been
replaced on land that has been topsoiled and is undergoing revegetation.
Vollmer Pit (M-83-038) Additional Sheets 5/12/96 Annual Report Page 1 of 2
