<br />EASTSIDE MINE <br />Garfield County, Colorado <br />SEDIMENT POND INSPECTION <br />On April 15, 1987, I conducted an inspection of the sediment pond <br />located at Eastside hiir~e, Eastside Coai Company, ir~curporated, Garfield <br />County, Colorado. <br />This inspection satisfies the requirement of Rule 4.05.6(11)(b) <br />of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. During this inspection, <br />the sediment pond was examined for any visible cracking or other defor- <br />mation of the embankment and any areas where seepage was occurring. No <br />deformation, cracking, or seepage was observed. No erosion around the <br />spillway and embankment was observed. <br />The pond appears to be stable, and no hazardous conditions were <br />noted at the time of the inspection. <br />~~ ~ <br />Ste hen Self <br />General Man ger <br />
