The facilities were kept under seven day per week full care and maintenance.
The mine office at the Cross Miae remained open on a six day per week basis. All
corporate level work to keep the company current was completed on time. Geologic
work continued throughout the year with np dates to the Maptek Vulcan program
oa the Caribou District properties. The water discharge system for the Cross and
Caribou Mines was kept ender seven day per week maintenance and care. We
prepare detailed monthly reports on the water system and send all the statistical
data monthly to Walsh Environmental Scientists and Engineers in Boulder,
Colorado. They then compute all the water data and file the monthly DMR"s with
the Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
The primary reason the operations were closed during this period are for lack of
funding. The company has been working non-stop to secure both debt redaction
funding and operational funding. Significant progress is being made to turn this
situation around and we hope to announce a major source of funding very soon.
Corporate level work and fuQ care and maintenance work will continue daily at the
Cross Mine site and Caribou district properties. We will notify you immediately
upon any changes and wiD look forward toward working closely with the Division as
we again return to both an exploration mode and small scale plan of operations far
the underground mines.
I have a ched fo our records a current list (II pages) of our patented and
unpatentedropertydings at Caribou.
Ple~e co tact m rf g{~ have a~ gaestions or require any additional
and CEO
Calais Board of Directors / JR Henderson PC
,~
P.O.
