A plot of suspended solids verses time for site⢠109 is presented in Figure 31.
The plot indicates that the suspended solids fluctuate within approximately the
same range since mining began. The levels have decreased slightly in 1986. Since
' this water is treated in a sediment pond before discharging to Foidel Creek the
suspended solid levels in the mine discharge do not produce any adverse effects on
' the environment.
Summaries of the water
f
d quality of Site 113
l are presented
l
l
f Si on Tables 44 and 45.
t
d
113
Plots o
the dissolve and suspended so
ids eve
s o
te are presen
e
on
Figures 32 and 33. The data indicates that this water is probably derived from
' the spoils. During the spring runoff period the water is diluted with surface
runoff producing a typical seasonal variation in the water quality.
1

1

1

1
