Additional Page
2005-2006 Annual Report
Table Mountain Quarry
M-1999-004
Continental Materials
(Castle Concrete Company)
Anniversary Date: June 25
Overview of Year: During the 2005-2006 permit year, activity here has remained steady. Material was
taken from both the BLM and State lands, with more of the material coming from the State side. The
material that is taken from the State land and from the BLM land are weighed separately when the rock is
shipped. This allows monitoring of the proper royalty payments, Reclamation has continued at the site and at
this time a southeastern portion of the current mining area is in process of reclamation. Areas that have been
reclaimed in the past have shown very good development.
Affected Land: The amount of affected land stands at about 28 acres with 8 acres in actual mining (6.5
acres on State land and 1.5 acres on BLM land).
Reclamation: Reclamation is currently in progress on a southeast section of the state land mining area,
which is depicted on the map. Areas of reclamation that have been completed in the past are coming along
quite well with very good growth established.
The moderate infestation of knapweed that was talked about in last years annual report was sprayed
in late spring of 2005 and again in spring of 2006. The spraying has seemed to help keep the infestation
isolated and this year's application will aid in further control and eventually eradication.
Anticipated Activity in 2005-2006: Activity in the next year will be divided between the State land and
the BLM land. Reclamation will continue in the southeast section. Noxious weeds will be monitored and
sprayed as needed.
Continental Materials 2003-2004 Annual Report M-1999-004 Table Mountain Quarry Page 1 of 1
