ATTACHMENT TO ANNUAL REPORT
ST. JUDE MINE
PERMIT NO. M-1978-039-HR
NOVEMBER 1, 2003
A new mine site map at scale 1" = 100' was submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology
on March 21, 2003. This map shows the site conditions as of late summer 2002
During late fall of 2003, a minor amount of site remediation work was conducted at the St. Jude
Mine. This work consisted of repairing the perimeter berms around the top of the waste dump
and recontouring the dump surface to contain precipitation and limit runoff Trash and debris
around the site were cleaned up, and the access road was graded.
hi early summer 2003, after the updated site map was submitted in March 2003, the St. Jude
Mine site was resurveyed. Anew site map, based on the 2003 survey, has been prepared to show
the present site status. The Operator recently submitted a Request for Technical Revision to the
St. Jude Mine Permit M-1978-039-HR in order to clarify the Affected Area boundary and to
fully encompass all modern mine related disturbances. This Request includes the updated site
map based on surveying conducted in early summer 2003.
Upon finalization of the Technical Revision to the St. Jude Mine Permit M-1978-039-HR, a site
reclamation map will be finalized and submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology.
No new disturbances within the permit area are presently anticipated during the coming year. No
reclamation is planned during 2004, as the St. Jude Mine will remain in standby status pending
improved uranium vanadium market conditions.
